About one month in....

I find myself about one month as a resident of Upland.  Sometimes, I find myself thinking that this is just a small vacation, a working vacation that I pay for electric, water and cable.  Other days, it is a wonderful thing to be here.  The BIG (or the smallest--depending on how you look at it) plus is spending time with my nephew.  He is this silly little guy who has like nothing to be scared of .

Case in point:  I was over at Brad and Kelly's this week, Brad was getting their fire pit for this weekend (it is homecoming---Taylor won! The score was 12-7.  It was a great game.  I went and I even stayed for the whole game!  Anyways,  Max was climbing over and around the benches, and walking on them like normal...He has gotten big and very cute.   One of my favorite "new" memories of him, I was playing with him and there was some DVDs laying around.  He pick on up and put it away, and slide the door close.  I praised him, and he just looked at me with a biggest smile on his face.

It is amazing how much everything works out in the end.  I was tense and a bit scaried of moving down here, and now I am liking it.  I am missing my friends at Cross of Glory some days.  But I know that I will make great friends here.

Tour of Upland

Welcome To Upland, Indiana!

 The Bell Tower at Taylor.
Fun Fact: this is where Brad propose to Kelly!
I love listening to the hymnals when chapel is done

It is about a block and a half way from my apartment...I don't know if that is good or bad.
This salad is wonderful!  I had it with my family for "Welcome Home" dinner!

The Depot Park and Museum in Downtown
Fun Fact:  Upland was a stop on a the railroad in the early days.
I have been in the museum it is awesome to learn new things!

On my walk, I notice that the sun was right behind the trees, and it was glowing.
I thought it was very pretty!

My apartment has a balcony!  I am so happy, that now I can able to have dinner outside now.  It is getting perfect!  It is facing south, which is great!
